James C. Bertucci has been practicing criminal law exclusively since 2001. His career started as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Lake County, a position he remained in for six years. During his time there, James was assigned to the traffic, misdemeanor, felony review, juvenile, and felony divisions, trying many cases at every level.

In 2007, James entered private practice with his father, himself a criminal defense attorney of over 40 years. Since then, James has practiced criminal law in 25 counties across Illinois. He has handled every type of criminal law case imaginable: from murder, sexual assault, armed robbery, and white-collar crimes, to DUI, traffic matters, juvenile cases, driver’s license reinstatement, and everything in between. James has lectured at drug and alcohol programs regarding how the law is evolving to treat substance abuse offenders and has given talks to youth at local schools about how juveniles are treated within Illinois criminal statutes. James has brought his extensive experience and abilities to Kelleher + Holland, LLC.

Whether it is through a jury trial, negotiations, or pre-trial motions, James has developed a reputation for achieving outstanding results for his clients. With K+H behind him, James is well-armed to handle any criminal issue that someone encounters.
