With over 30 years of experience in the areas of banking, commercial finance, and commercial real estate transactions, Samuel Pappas chairs our Banking + Finance practice group. He has experience representing various lenders and other institutional clients. Sam has practiced in various law firms and was also an in-house transactional attorney for several banks and financial services companies, including Parkway Bank & Trust Company, Transamerica Finance Corporation, Bank One (JP Morgan Chase Bank), and The Asahi Bank, Ltd. (a Japanese bank).
Throughout his career, Sam has worked extensively on secured and unsecured credit facilities, including bridge and mezzanine loans, construction loans, syndications, large loan securitizations, as well as equity investment transactions. He has handled transactions involving virtually every type of real estate, including office facilities, industrial facilities, shopping centers, hotels, and apartment complexes. He is also experienced in the areas of commercial leasing, real estate purchases, sales, and workout activities.
Sam also provides legal services to entrepreneurs, middle market companies, and private enterprises.
