Michael L. Wojciak

Mike has a diverse practice as a member of both the litigation and estate planning practice groups. Throughout his career, Mike represented both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury, tort, and commercial litigation matters in both state and federal courts. He brings a unique perspective to his practice groups having represented parties on both sides of the aisle from the initial loss through trial. This experience helped open his eyes to the need for estate planning for individuals and companies to mitigate risk.

He has an extensive background in personal injury and wrongful death cases involving commercial motor carriers. He's experienced in various transportation sectors and frequently investigated accidents to determine liability, helping clients assess risks, protect interests, and evaluate case value. His exposure also includes premises liability, property damage, cargo loss cases, and he also previously represented plaintiffs in motor vehicle accidents, slips and falls, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, and workers' compensation claims.

Mike believes that he was drawn to estate planning through his personal injury practice. He often assisted clients in securing the court’s approval of settlements through the probate process. More importantly, his past experience opened Mike’s eyes to potential risks stemming from lawsuits in excess of insurance policies and the potential risk involved due to the lack of planning. Mike hopes to share this knowledge to assist clients in setting up an estate plan to protect themselves and their families down the road and for generations to come.

Outside of the office, you can find Mike on a boat with his fiancé Ryan, on the golf course, or playing with his two labs Hershey and Nilla. Mike is a diehard Iowa Hawkeye and Chicago Blackhawks fan.
